Hilltopper guard Dan Binggeli recorded a rare triple-double with 10 points, 10 assists, and 12 rebounds. All of Binggeli’s points came from the free throw line.

Marquis Brooks scored 19 points to lead UC (13-7, 7-4 West Virginia Conference). Robert Siwo had 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Richard Hampton contributed 11 points and five assists for the Golden Eagles.

The Hilltoppers erased a 39-33 halftime deficit by picking it up offensively in the second half as the Golden Eagles went cold.

In the first half, UC shot 47 percent (16-for-34) compared to the Hilltoppers’ 32 percent (10-31). After intermission, UC shot 27.3 percent (9-for-33) and West Liberty hit 43.3 percent (13-for-30) from the floor.

UC starters Siwo and Hampton each fouled out. Robert Strickland had eight points, nine boards, and six blocks.

The Hilltoppers are 17-3, 8-3.
