UC Men Ranked No. 8 in East Region Poll
January 26, 2005

The NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Committee has released this week’s Division II men’s basketball regional rankings. The regional rankings will be released weekly on Wednesdays through March 1, 2006.

West Virginia Conference schools occupy four of the top five spots in the East Region rankings and comprise six of the top nine positions. #2 Alderson-Broaddus is the highest ranked WVIAC club.  The Battlers are followed by #3 West Liberty State, #4 West Virginia State,  and #5 Wheeling Jesuit.  Charleston and Salem International hold down the eighth and ninth slots respectively.

Charleston was unranked in last week's poll.

The Northeast-10, Peach Belt, and Gulf South Conferences join the WVIAC as the most represented leagues in regional polls with six ranked teams each.
