Robert Siwo led all scorers with 26 points as the University of Charleston defeated Ohio Valley at Eddie King Gym.

Austin Weatherington added 16 points, nine rebounds and six assists for UC (15-7, 9-4 WVC).

The only other Charleston player to score in double digits was Robert Strickland with 11. UC’s Richard Hampton was one point shy of a double-double, recording nine points and 11 rebounds.

UC outscored the Fighting Scots 38-26 in the paint and 22-6 off turnovers. The Golden Eagles led at halftime 41-27 after shooting 55 percent.

Derrick Whiteside led Ohio Valley (5-17, 2-1) with 16 points. Teammate Chris Cobbina added 13 points and seven rebounds. The Scots led 37-35 in rebounding.
