UC leading after Day 2 at NCAA Regionals

The University of Charleston retained the top spot after a second round 300 giving the "Golden Eagles" two day total of 601 at the NCAA Division II Men's East Region Golf Tournament at Speidel Golf Club. Charleston leads hard charging Fairmont State (603) by two shots, with Indiana University of PA (604) occupying third just three off the pace, after an impressive round of 291.

Fairmont State's Will Gautreau fired the low round of the tournament thus far with a one-under-par 70. Gautreau climbed from the 17th position all the way to the top of the leader board with a mark of 148.

He leads a group five players by a single shot as Ohio Valley's Gianni Hild, Charleston's Stephen Maynard, IUP's Nic Milito, West Liberty's Chris Palmer, and UC's Michael Todd all have two round sums of 149.
