UC's Todd fires 69 at D-II Nationals
(GRAND RAPIDS, MI)-University of Charleston senior Michael Todd matched the low score of the 2007 NCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship with a second round 69.  The 2006-07 WVIAC Player of the Year fired five birdies and posted three bogies to move into a tie for sixth place with a 36-hole total of 145.  Todd's two-under par effort was only the third of the championship at the par-71 Meadows Course.

Fairmont State remained in a tie for 17th in the team competition.  The Falcons ended Wednesday's round with a team total of 314.  FSU's 621 figure after two rounds is tied with Western New Mexico.  Zack Rudy led Fairmont State for the second straight day with a 76 and is tied for 34th at 151 in the individual standings.  Will Gautreau and Justin Caroli carded 79's, while Tyler Franklin chipped in an 80 for the Falcons.  Jon Burnside's 82 did not count in the team totals. 
 
UPDATE: Todd shot a 74 on the final round for a 305 total and a 43rd place finish at the NCAA Nationals.
