In January 2005, Tony DeMeo made his first hire to fill his staff selecting Ralph Isernia as his offensive coordinator and recruiting coordinator.  Isernia is widely considered one of the top offensive coordinators in Division II football.  His direction and coaching prowess has been directly responsible for turnaround seasons at every institution he has coached.  A "Mr. Fix-it", Isernia's offenses have set school records and had been consistently ranked in the NCAA rankings.

In 2004, Isernia was the offensive line coach at Bucknell University.  He helped Division I-AA Bucknell to a 7-4 record, its best finish since 1999 and a No. 30 national ranking by Dopke.com.  Offensively, the team was ranked ninth in rushing offense and No. 11 in pass efficiency in I-AA.

Isernia also served as offensive coordinator at Mansfield University (2001-2004) and Defiance College, Methodist College, and was an assistant coach at Western Connecticut.

In his 14 years of coaching, Isernia has coached 34 All-Conference players, nine All-Americans, five Academic All-Americas, and two AFCA Good Works All-Americans.

Isernia and his wife Lynn reside in Charleston with their son Rett (5) and daughter Grace (2).
