INDIANAPOLIS History was made today for the University of Charleston football program. The Golden Eagles were ranked No. 11 in the NCAA Division II Northeast Region by the NCAA Division II Football Committee in its rankings released today.

The regional ranking is the first in program history for the University of Charleston.
The top 12 teams in the Northeast Region are listed below along with their records through games of October 6, 2007.

Two other West Virginia Conference squads are in the ratings. #4 Shepherd is the highest rated squad, followed by #10 West Liberty State.

The top six squads at the completion of the regular season advance to the NCAA Division II football playoffs.
