UC Releases 2007 Football Recruits List

“We are very pleased with recruiting class,” said UC head coach Tony DeMeo. “Our goal is to stack one good recruiting class after another. We feel we’ve accomplished that for three years.”
The recruited student-athletes do not only excel on the playing field but in the classroom as well.
“Our average overall GPA is 3.2, the average ACT is a 22 and the average SAT score is a 1030,” DeMeo said of his 2007 recruiting class.

Honors: All-GMC; All-City Honorable Mention; Pride & Excellence Award. Team captain; Player of the Week; Honor Roll; Principal’s Breakfast.
Coach DeMeo says: “Good solid LB, power lifting champ. Slated to be ILB, good speed, runs to ball well. Will add to special teams.”

Darby HS;
Honors: All-Conference 2 years; All-District 2 years; Lineman of the Year 2 years; Team MVP; Captain 2 years; Captain and 2 year letterman in basketball.
Coach DeMeo says: “Outstanding OT, great feet, quickness, quick enough to play DT, honor student, will challenge for a spot on OL.”

Honors: Maxwell Club, Mini Max Award winner. Rushed for a school record 1,440 yards and scoring 18 touchdowns in senior season.

Honors: First team All-district and Honorable Mention All-Region as a senior. Rushed for 1,010 yards on 125 carries (8.08 avg.). Scored a school record five TD’s in a single game.
