Daily named WVIAC Player of the Week

University of Charleston’s Jimmy Daily was named the West Virginia Conference baseball player of the week while West Virginia State’s Brandon Halstead and Seton Hill’s Rick Austin shared pitcher of the week honors.

Daily, a junior outfielder from Wintersville, Ohio, went 15-for-22 for a .681 batting average and scored eight runs last week. He turned in four straight three-hit games and his 77 hits this season breaks his own single-season school record.
