About the GEAC
The Golden Eagle Athletic Club (GEAC) is the comprehensive fundraising program for University of Charleston Athletics. Beginning August 1, 2007, all GEAC contributions will be used to provide annual scholarship support for UC athletes. Contributions are vital to enableing student athletes to remain competitive in Division II and the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. Your gifts have an immediate impact on the entire athletics program, enabling UC to recruit better athletes and field better teams.
UC has built an impressing winning tradition, capturing both the WVIAC Presidents' Cup and the WVIAC Commissioner's Cup in 2007. Scholarship support through the GEAC will ensure that UC can sustain this winning tradition. Your gifts have the power to take UC's athletic program to even greater heights, while giving student athletes an exceptional education.

GEAC Member Benefits
GEAC members enjoy tangible benefits based on their contribution levels, including preferred seating and parking, invitations to special events, and insider information about what's hot in UC athletics.
All GEAC contributions are tax deductible and every GEAC member receives access to the halftime hospitality room and football tailgates. GEAC members also receive recognition in the game programs and receive special GEAC updates and special event invitations.
GEAC members who make annual gifts of $1,000 or higher are also members of the Presidents' Circle, the University's leadership annual giving group.

Vision Society
The Vision Society is the premier giving group of the GEAC. Vision Society members make annual gifts at the quarter, half, or full scholarship level, which is determined each year by the UC Board of Trustees. Donors may choose between making a four-year scholarship pledge at a fixed amount or making gifts at the level set annually by the trustees.

What is the Golden Eagle Athletic Club (GEAC)?

How will my GEAC contribution be used by UC?
100% of your donationfunds annual scholarships for more than 300 student athletes.
How does this differ from the past?
Historically, individual coaches raised money for their respective sports through GEAC. Today, money donated to the GEAC will be used to fund athletc scholarships for all sports, helping all programs.
May I designate my gift for a specific sport?
By donating to the GEAC, you are in fact designating your gift, because all contributions support scholarship funding for all sports. In addition, a donor with a particular interest can establish an endowed scholarship for a specific sport, which will last into perpetuity.
What is the Vision Society?
The Vision Society is the premier annual giving group of the GEAC and UC Athletics. The Vision Society includes GEAC donors who make annual gifts at the quarter, half and full scholarship levels. Vision Society levels are determined annually by the Board of Trustees based on the value of a full grant-in-aid (tuition, room, board, fees, and books).
