The Atlantis program provides University of Charleston Psychology majors with an opportunity to spend an academic semester studying psychology at one of two European universities either at The University of Debrecen in Debrecen, Hungary or the Warsaw School of Social Sciences and Humanities in Warsaw, Poland. Courses at those schools are taught in English. Prior to travel, students will complete a workshop that will introduce them to the languages and cultures of Hungary and Poland. University of Charleston students pay tuition and fees at University of Charleston with no additional tuition and fees while in Europe Additionally, University of Charleston students will receive a stipend of $5,000.00 per semester while in Europe. All courses taken in Europe will transfer to the University of Charleston.

New Atlantis Excellency Psychology Majors to Study in Poland in Spring 2010

These five Psychology majors will head for Europe on February 15, 2010, where they will spend the spring semester studying at the Warsaw (Poland) School of Social Sciences and Humanities. The students are (left to right): Jeff Gampp of Minford, OH; Paige Govey of Colliers, WV; Ashley Atkinson of Winfield, WV; Jessica McGuire of Oxford, AL; and Amanda Looney of Cross Lanes, WV.  Atkinson, McGuire, and Looney are majoring in psychology and the University of Charleston, and Gampp and Govey are from Marshall University's psychology program.
