Department Activities
The purpose of "CANS" is to assume responsibility for contributing to nursing education in order to provide for the highest quality health care, to provide programs representative of current nursing interests and concerns, and to aid in the development of not only the professional nursing role, but the whole person. Through this, we hope to have a positive impact on the health care of people from all walks of life.
Students work with faculty advisors to plan and implement such varied activities as sponsoring campus blood drives, volunteering for the Red Cross, holiday parties for families in shelters and children in the pediatric hospital, attendance of state and national conventions.
