Course of Study
An education student's four-year program includes three different kinds of courses:
- Liberal arts
- Content (reading, math, science, social studies etc.)
- Professional education courses (curriculum, instruction, assessment and theories of teaching and learning) See College Catalog for specific course of study.
Graduation and Teacher Certification
In order to graduate with a degree in Education, students must be eligible for certification in WV which means completion of the specified degree program (including student teaching) with a 2.5 GPA and passing scores on Praxis II (both content and pedagogy).
