Transitioning to pharmacy school on a campus you already know and love can make the experience even better – and less stressful. Our program is structured so that students can enter pharmacy school two to three years after they begin.
We offer two degree pathways: Pharmacy Direct or Pre-Pharmacy
The Pharmacy Direct program is designed to provide students with a direct pathway to pharmacy school. This means direct pharmacy school acceptance to students who complete UC’s pre-pharmacy program. You are guaranteed a spot as long as you meet progression requirements in your undergraduate studies. Students have the option of completing the prerequisite courses for pharmacy in two or three years or they may stay in the program three to four years and graduate with a bachelor’s degree in either biology or chemistry.
The traditional Pre-Pharmacy concentration in either Biology or Chemistry is designed for incoming freshmen choosing not to participate in the Pharmacy Direct program. Students will have the option of completing the prerequisite courses for pharmacy in two or three years. Students may stay in the program three to four years and graduate with a bachelor’s degree in either biology or chemistry.
