• Entrepreneurship Major


    Program Overview

    The Entrepreneurship Major is designed to appeal to students seeking a flexible, efficient, and innovative learning experience. Students who major in Entrepreneurship will develop an understanding of business ventures in all phases including conception, launch, and sustainability. An emphasis will be placed on innovative and interdisciplinary problem solving, identifying viable business opportunities, securing financial resources, and successfully identifying and reaching target markets using the business model canvas.

    Program Highlights

    Seminars available in grant writing and interdisciplinary entrepreneurship concepts, which will provide opportunities to network with business owners and entrepreneurs. 

    This program will provide students the opportunity to be certified in Google Analytics.

    Students who may not want to own their own business can enhance their business skills in sales, consulting, or improving an existing business.

    Students can take courses in Digital Media & Design and Computer Science, or minor in specific areas of digital media or design thinking.

    The interdisciplinary program utilizes our Innovation Center for seminars from community members and providing unique business.

    Start a business in any industry or sector though an applied entrepreneurship internship experience and an Entrepreneurship Capstone Experience.

    Program Outcomes

    Students will develop skills that will prepare them for careers as either an entrepreneur who establishes their own business or an intrapreneur who utilizes their innovative skills for another organization. 

    Careers as an entrepreneur can also include business consultant, sales, research and development, fundraiser, marketing consultant and more.

    Note: Students receive a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a major in Entrepreneurship.
