The University Of Charleston School Of Pharmacy invites applications for an Assistant/Associate professor of Pharmacy Administration from persons with a Ph.D. degree in Pharmacy Administration, Public Health, Health Economics or Management, or a related doctorate.
The University of Charleston is a small private university located in Charleston, West Virginia, a community of approximately 250,000 people located in the south central part of the state. Charleston, the state capital, is centrally located and is within a 6 hour drive of several major Eastern and Midwestern cities. Charleston’s Yeager Airport is served by 6 airlines that have direct flights to many major cities. In addition to an abundance of cultural and outdoor opportunities, Charleston’s general cost of living index (per ACCRA) is significantly below the national average.
The School of Pharmacy is housed in a new, state-of-the-art facility and began classes in August of 2006 with an inaugural class of 80 Doctor of Pharmacy students. The successful candidate will be expected to develop, coordinate, and teach within his or her area of expertise in an entry-level Doctor of Pharmacy curriculum. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to be active in scholarly activities.
