The University Of Charleston School Of Business invites applications and nominations for the position of Director of Experiential Education.
The Director will be responsible for preceptor and experiential site recruitment and retention, preceptor development and evaluations, coordination of student placements, budgetary preparation, and, in concert with the Dean of the Graduate School of Business, providing vision and mentorship in the areas of experiential education. Additionally, the Director will serve as a key interface between the School and the business community. Qualified individuals should possess experience in business operations and educational programming and a Master’s degree in business is preferred. All candidates should possess excellent interpersonal and group communication skills, demonstrated leadership ability, a desire to create a culture of academic success, and an entrepreneurial spirit. Special consideration will be given to candidates with a history of community involvement.
The Graduate School of Business is located in downtown Charleston in the heart of the Capital business district. The focus of our curriculum is on learning by doing. In addition to the strong experiential component of the curriculum, the primary pedagogical approach is problem-based learning. This innovative program offers traditional undergraduate students the opportunity to enter graduate school upon the successful completion of their sophomore year and to complete the Master of Business Administration and Leadership (MBAL) degree over the next three academic years
