Greetings and welcome!

This is a very exciting time in PA Education and especially for our Physician Assistant Program at the University of Charleston! Our inaugural class of PA students is now in clinical rotations and they are getting excellent reviews. Our second cohort of students is well on their way and we are looking forward to our next group of students in January 2015. In the first sixteen months of the didactic phase, the curriculum includes innovative approaches to education, including substantive skills training, the use of patient models, and problem-and team-based learning. This is followed by ten clinical experiential rotations. Our program is rigorous but the rewards are unimaginable.

Our next application cycle for the January 2016 cohort will open mid-April 2015.

I am excited to announce that our application process starting with the January 2015 cohort has changed. We are now utilizing the CASPA (Centralized Application Service for Physician Assistants). Application documents will no longer be sent to the University of Charleston. This will aid you as an applicant, especially if you are applying to multiple schools, as you will only have to submit documents to one central location. *Please note that current University of Charleston undergraduate students applying for PA Fast Track will use the UC PAP application portal.

In my role as Admissions Coordinator I will be assisting you with learning more about our program and guiding you through the application procedure. Feel free to contact me with any questions during the admissions process.

If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others through becoming a highly competent medical practitioner, a world-class education awaits you at our Physician Assistant Program.
