This is a very exciting time in PA Education and especially for our Physician Assistant Program at the University of Charleston! Our inaugural class of PA students are well on their way and we are looking forward to our next cohort of students starting in January 2014. During the first sixteen months of their didactic phase, the curriculum will include innovative approaches to education including substantive skills training, the use of patient models, and problem- and team-based learning. This will be followed by ten clinical experiential rotations including the opportunity for a specialty elective. The program is rigorous but the rewards are unimaginable.

I am excited to announce that our application process
starting with the January 2015 cohort has changed. We will be utilizing the
CASPA (Centralized Application Service for Physician Assistants). Application documents will no longer be
sent to the University of Charleston.
This will aid you as an applicant, especially if you are applying to multiple
schools, as you will only have to submit documents to one central location. *Please
note that current University of Charleston undergraduate students applying for
PA Fast Track will use the UC PAP application portal.
