Second I-3 Day Event to Award $20,000 in prize money
Charleston, WV –The University of Charleston I-3 Day (Ideas, Invention, Innovation) event will showcase UC students, faculty and staff as they offer a glimpse into the world of new products and services.
From a proprietary spice blend, to research into medical issues, to amazing artwork, to businesses that provide food resources, study support, capture memories, support educators and more. About 140 students, faculty and staff are participating in the day-long competition, in team and individual projects. The winners will be awarded cash prizes - a total of $20,000 in prizes will be awarded. They will be announced at the University’s Eagle Fest 2.0 event that will take place on the riverfront that evening. (A list of winners will be available on the University website).
During the competition, UC will also offer other activities, including a smoothie bar, food trucks, door prizes, a self-defense class, and more. Download the I3 program.
The public is invited to visit the campus, browse the displays, and see UC innovation in action.
In addition to the I-3Day winner ceremony, the Eagle Fest 2.0 celebration will give students, staff and faculty a full schedule of events that will take place on the riverfront lawn and the Geary Student Union.
