All research with human subjects carried out by University of Charleston faculty and/or students must be approved by the UC IRB.
All Principal Investigators must complete or have completed the CITI Ethics training module within the past 3 years, under the University of Charleston Affiliation. A record of completion must be on file with the UC IRB before submitting a proposal for review.
The IRB meets quarterly. The 2012-2013 meeting dates are August 21, November 30, February 22 and May 10.
The following documents detail the procedure for submitting an application for approval of a research project. Please submit both a paper copy and an electronic copy of all applicable forms. The signed paper copy should be forwarded to Marea Dodd in SOP-304.
