    Now that you have been accepted, please begin your commitment with UC by paying your enrollment deposit



    The entire UC family is looking forward to welcoming you to campus and assisting you with your transition to college.

    Orientation sessions are offered at the beginning of each semester for all new students. We have tailored orientation to meet all of your needs and answer your questions. You will also register for classes while you are on campus for orientation.

    Please plan ahead and register early. Once an orientation session is full, registration for that session will close.

    New Student Orientation – UC Charleston Campus

    Welcome to the Golden Eagle family! All of us at UC are excited that you will be joining our community and are looking forward to meeting you at New Student Orientation. These events are an important step in making the transition to life at the University of Charleston and are MANDATORY for all new Freshmen and Transfer students. 

    Before you arrive  

    Please look at the attached checklist. This document will let you know which items you need to bring, or complete before you come to campus. Please get in touch with the appropriate office and take care as much as you can to avoid standing in line at the Check-In Process.

    My UC-Charleston Checklist

    • Check-In Process

      ***Remember to bring your student ID to the Check-In Process.

      The Check-In Process is MANDATORY for all students. Students will receive an individualized checklist and then complete the checklist by visiting one or more of these offices:

      1. Student Solutions Center:  

        • Make your student ID card
        • Billing - Pay any balance due
        • Add Eagle Bucks to your account
      2. Financial Aid:  

        • Last minute paperwork or signatures needed
      3. Information Technology:  

        • Verify UC lon-in information(must be done prior to the IT session on Sunday!)
        • Fill out the payment obligation form (POF)
      4. Parking Permits:  

      5. Check-Out Table:  

        • Turn in your completed checklist
        • Residential students pick up a Residence Hall ticket

      **Residential Students
      All new residential students must complete the Check-In process and obtain a ticket before they can move into their assigned residence hall room. A limited number of shopping carts and helpful upperclassmen will be available to assist with the move-in process.


    Please stop by the Parent Resource Table any time during the Check-In Process to:
