    The process of reflection, reasoning and imagining through which the individual willingly, systematically and habitually examines and explores statements, problems, issues, beliefs and social constraints.

    Associate Degree: Foundational Skills and Knowledge

    • Identifies, categorizes and distinguishes among ideas, concepts, theories and practical approaches to problems
    • Identifies and appropriately cites information
    • Self-reflects on problem-solving thought processes

    Baccalaureate Degree: Advanced Skills and Knowledge

    • Evaluates theories and approaches to complex standard and non-standard problems within his or her major field
    • Constructs, and is able to defend, solutions to discipline-specific problems

    Graduate Degree Synthesis and Application of Skills and Knowledge at the Professional level

    • Justifies and clearly articulates the solution to a problem in a professional manner
    • Analyzes, articulates, and evaluates own thought processes for continual improvement
