• Pre-Physician Assistant



    The School of Health Sciences offers a Pre-Physician Assistant Program designed to facilitate admission to and success in the Physician Assistant Program. Physician Assistants are highly trained medical professionals who practice medicine on a physician-led team.

    For two years running, Physician Assistant has ranked #1 in Forbes’ “Best Master’s Degrees for Jobs” list.

    PA Fast-Track

    The Pre-PA pathway offers students who are currently enrolled at UC a fast track opportunity to become a physician assistant. UC students who are admitted to the Fast-Track must complete specific requirements before beginning the Physician Assistant Program. Highly motivated students can earn a master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies and begin practice in five years.

    Physician Assistants:

    • Conduct physical exams, diagnose and treat illness
    • Order and interpret tests, counsel on preventive health
    • Prescribe medications and perform procedures
    • Consistently report high career satisfaction
    • Earn excellent salaries (new graduates average $76,000)

    Highlights of the Physician Assistant Program
